When I was in high school, people often told me, "I can't see you in a regular kind of career setting. You seem like the type to have your own business."

While I tried to make a degree in English Literature work for me, it stopped inspiring me. I started writing less and less. I stopped being excited.

Everything changed when I met Tim. Everything took off when I met Ellie. I found two treasures in a cove and called them mine. We all have lived largely ever after.

Since then, I pulled out my dusty DSLR from storage and started shooting again. It started with documenting memories and milestones then jumped to day in the life affairs.

Three years later, I’m bursting at my seams with excitement as I sit on my laptop and edit sessions. Photography proved that my past was nothing but a creative wrinkle in my story. Once I found the tools to appropriately iron out the kinks, it’s been golden.

I enjoy feeling like what I’m doing makes sense to others, that’s why I choose to be a photographer.
How It All Began
